Equipment

We will bring our wide range of paddleboards to the course for people to try. These include short white water boards, general purpose boards and 14ft touring boards from different companies including Starboard, McConks, Sandbanks, Gladiator and Fanatic.

Please bring your own board (if you have one). This will broaden the number of craft available to everyone to see and understand.

You will need to dress for an active but probably wet day. Wetsuits or drysuits would be a good option. Please be aware that you could end up wet early in the day and need to carry on.

Please bring your buoyancy aid, leash and paddle. If you are not bringing these, please let us know so that we can bring extras.

Paddling barefoot on warm days in deep water is a joy. However, you will need footwear to walk in shallow water or carry your board to the water.

We are likely to stay near the start point for most of the day but we will definitely complete at least a short journey away from the start point. Therefore, the ability to carry extra clothing, food, drink or other stuff would be useful. We can offer drybags to help with this if needed.
