This course is designed for people whose main focus is to deliver taster/starter sessions and short journeys in very sheltered water environments. This combined training and assessment is a practical 2 day course that will help prepare you for your first SUP instructing role.

At the end of the course you will understand exactly what steps you need to take in your journey to the coach award.

This course is for coaches who want to progress to sheltered water coach. The two day training takes the underpinning knowledge of the core coach training and applies to coaching students in sheltered water.

On our assessment we will ask you to coach some students while observing unobtrusively.  You will receive constructive feedback from our highly experienced team as we take you through the assessment process.

We believe that assessments should not be stressful and will do everything in our power to make them relaxed experiences.

During the two day training you will transfer the core coaching skills to the sheltered water environment. We will deliver the latest technical knowledge and give you the opportunity to coach real students. This will give you a thorough preparation you for the assessment.

During the one day assessment you will coach real students in sheltered water. As usual we will run the assessment in a relaxed and appropriate manner. We will give you the opportunity to perform as well as you can.

During the two day training you will transfer the core coaching skills to the moderate water environment. We will deliver the latest technical knowledge and give you the opportunity to coach real students. This will give you a thorough preparation you for the assessment.

During the one day assessment you will coach real students in moderate water. As usual we will run the assessment in a relaxed and appropriate manner. We will give you the opportunity to perform as well as you can.

On our two day training we will develop your technical understanding of white water paddling. With that sound base of technical knowledge we will then support you as you coach students on the second day of the course. Not only will you be perfectly prepared for assessment but your coaching performance will be significantly improve.

On our assessment we will ask you to coach students in the white water environment. We will confirm your personal skills along with a check of your rescue skills. We will do our best to create a relaxed and open atmosphere that encourages your best performance.

During the one day assessment you will coach real students in open water. As usual we will run the assessment in a relaxed and appropriate manner. We will give you the opportunity to perform as well as you can.

During the two day training you will transfer the core coaching skills to the open water environment. We will deliver the latest technical knowledge and give you the opportunity to coach real students. This will give you a thorough preparation you for the assessment.

As an Advanced open water canoe coach you can coach in the most advanced canoe environment. You can coach students in large areas of open water with wind above force 5.

After completion of your development phase, enjoy your assessment coaching students in advanced conditions. The assessment is run at a ratio of one to two so you will get plenty of time to work with your students. As always we will run the assessment in an open and relaxed manner.

As an advanced white water canoe coach you can coach in the most advanced canoe environment. Improving paddlers skills on advanced water such as the Leven in Cumbria, The Leny, Orchy, Garry  in Scotland. Maybe even the Mawwdach and Tryweryn.

After completion of your development phase, enjoy your assessment coaching students in advanced conditions. The assessment is run at a ratio of one to two so you will get plenty of time to work with your students. As always we will run the assessment in an open and relaxed manner.

Develop the technical and tactical knowledge to coach advanced paddlers in advanced conditions.  Investigate the most up to date white water kayaking techniques and enhance your coaching skills on grade 4 white water. 

After completion of your development phase, enjoy your assessment coaching students in advanced conditions. The assessment is run at a ratio of one to two so you will get plenty of time to work with your students. As always we will run the assessment in an open and relaxed manner.
